Anyone Can....

Anyone can buy a card at the store, but very few spend therapeutic time creating cards.

Yeah, I said therapeutic. Because being crafty is therapeutic. Some find it by following directions to create their masterpiece, while others find it by creating something that is totally their own.

Every time someone new comes to the classes I offer, they always have a great time. So much so, it kind of surprises them. They expected to come and make something. To be creative, or crafty or just to play with artistic things, so they can feel artistic. They don't expect the laughter, or the new friends they will make.

During the last 15 years, the thing that surprises me the most, even though it shouldn't, are the friendships that are formed, that wouldn't have, if it hadn't been for the classes they come to.

People, who would never have meet any other way, becoming the greatest of friends.

And there is plenty of room for more. 

The next new friend making opportunity, or just a therapeutic afternoon of creating will be March 29, 2020; 1pm-4pm. You will get to make a dozen cards and a dozen tags to have ready, so you don't have to go to the store to get a card.

It may seem like you are giving a card to someone, but really, you are getting some well deserved, and needed, creative crafty time. 

They think it's about them and their special day, but really, it's about you and your self-care.

Holiday Cards Mini Retreat

Want to go to a retreat but don’t have a full weekend or full day to attend? Have you been saying you this is the year you are definitely going to make and mail Holiday cards, and then never do?

Come spend a few hours socially creating your Holiday cards and get them ready to be mailed!

You will receive a goody bag with a tutorial and all the supplies you need to make 12 Holiday cards and envelopes along with gifts, prizes and snacks. I will even mail your holiday cards on the day you request! All you have to do is address and stamp them.

You can follow the tutorial or make them your own by changing up the design. Whatever you decide every card will be slightly different.

Registration will close on October 6th...or until the event has sold out! 

What I will bring to the party:

• Frosted Foliage Stamp Set
• Frosted Frames Dies
• Big Shots for die cutting and embossing
• Stamparatus’
• Some Ink Pads and Markers
• Various types of Adhesive for purchase
• Special requests for stamp sets, dies, punches, or embossing folders can be made – I’ll do my best to bring it. I’m not bringing my entire stash to this four hour event, that is for weekend retreats only.

What you need to bring to the party:

• Addresses – this is important so you can send your cards this year
• Paper Trimmer/Cutter
• Your favorite Adhesive (liquid, dots &/or tape)
• Dimensionals
• Ribbon Scissors (usually a pair designated for fabric only)
• Paper Snips or other scissors you use for general cutting
• Any unfinished projects that you keep putting off completing - bring all the supplies you need to finish them.
• Any projects you think you want to work on – bring all the supplies you need to finish them.

 You can add-on to your registration postage stamps and an Adhesive Kit consisting of Liquid, Dots and Dimensionals.
